On the 25th of January, a momentous occasion unfolded at St. Joseph Boy’s Science Secondary School, marking the inauguration of the academic year with unparalleled fervor. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of the school Manager,
Fr. Alwyn D’Souza, and the dedicated Headmaster, Fr. Victor Machado, whose birthday added an extra layer of celebration to the day. The festivities commenced with a solemn school mass, presided over by Fr. Victor himself, serving as the main celebrant. Amidst the sacred proceedings, the atmosphere buzzed with excitement upon the announcement that all the form 4 students from the previous year had achieved an impressive Division I result—a moment of immense pride for the entire school community. Adding to the significance of the day, the school officially introduced Mrs. Gudila Joseph as the new Deputy Headmistress. The presence of key figures, including Fr. George, the school HR, Fr. Joseph, the procurator, and Fr. Jesudus, the campus director, further enriched the event. The inauguration ceremony extended beyond academic achievements to the introduction of the new school leaders' team, symbolizing a fresh chapter of responsibility and leadership. Notably, the day also marked the inauguration of the school garden, a continuation of the Season of the Creation with the theme of greening the school. This eco-conscious initiative added an element of environmental stewardship to the already memorable occasion, aligning with the broader mission of nurturing responsible and conscious citizens. The festivities were further enhanced by the coinciding celebration of the feast of the Conversion of Saint Paul, Apostle, infusing a spiritual dimension into the day.
